He has tried many cases in state and federal courts across the country.
Rick earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a B.S.J. from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Rick represents Fortune 500 companies, corporate officers, licensed professionals, and public figures in cases involving securities fraud, environmental law, immigration compliance, and healthcare regulation. Rick’s global practice includes counseling clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, export control laws, and cross-border regulatory concerns. He is admitted to practice before the International Criminal Court in The Hague and has worked on cases in Europe, South America, and Asia. Before entering private practice, Rick served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Chicago, prosecuting white collar and organized crime. He also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado.
