Richard L. Campbell, a partner at Miller, Kistler & Campbell, brings more than four decades of experience to his practice in estate planning, estate administration, real estate transactions, municipal law, and business matters. Known for his steady guidance and legal insight, he has built a respected reputation across Central Pennsylvania.
Mr. Campbell earned his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law after completing his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in Political Science and History and was a member of the varsity wrestling team. His educational background laid the foundation for a legal career defined by public service and complex transactional work.
Since joining the firm in 1966, Mr. Campbell has held key legal roles, including serving as Centre County’s first assistant district attorney and representing municipal bodies throughout the region. He has argued cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and played a major role in forming public entities such as the University Area Joint Authority.
Mr. Campbell has personally handled more than 1,000 real estate closings and has guided hundreds of families through estate administration. His breadth of experience ensures that clients receive knowledgeable, efficient counsel in both personal and business legal matters.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Richard L. Campbell continues to serve with integrity and dedication. A lifelong contributor to his community, he has provided pro bono legal support to the Juniata Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years and remains an active board member of the Centre Foundation. He is a trusted advisor and legal advocate for generations of clients.
