Richard J. Suzuki is the founder of Suzuki Law Offices and a highly experienced attorney with a strong background in criminal defense and personal injury law. Licensed to practice across multiple jurisdictions, Mr. Suzuki represents clients in Arizona state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and several U.S. District Courts nationwide. His wide-ranging courtroom experience and commitment to client advocacy make him a leading legal figure in Arizona and beyond.

Mr. Suzuki earned his B.A. from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He received his J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law and began his legal career shortly thereafter.

After law school, Richard J. Suzuki started as a law clerk for Judge Howard Fell at the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County. He then worked as a criminal prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, where he handled serious felony cases under the Major Crimes Gang and Repeat Offender Program Bureau. This role provided him with courtroom experience in numerous felony jury trials.

Mr. Suzuki went on to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona, where he prosecuted serious felony cases in both Tucson and Phoenix. He led complex federal investigations and trials, gaining deep insight into how prosecutors build cases. Today, he uses that insider knowledge of the federal criminal justice system to strategically defend and protect his criminal defense clients.

At Suzuki Law Offices, Mr. Suzuki represents individuals in city, state, and federal courts. His practice includes both criminal defense and personal injury, combining compassion, professionalism, and aggressive advocacy for clients facing serious legal issues.

Richard J. Suzuki is affiliated with the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Foundation, and national organizations like the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
