About

Richard Biggs is a partner at Mullin Hoard Brown LLP Attorneys at Law in Amarillo, Texas, where his practice centers on complex commercial litigation, civil rights, and oil and gas matters. Known for his strategic advocacy and deep understanding of business disputes, Richard represents both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving partnership conflicts, investment disputes, municipal law, and contract litigation. His experience spans from local courtroom trials to precedent-setting appellate victories that have shaped Texas commercial law.

Richard earned both his J.D. and Bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin, where he served as senior editor of the Texas Environmental Law Journal and president of the UT Racquetball Club. After graduating, he clerked for the Honorable Mary Lou Robinson, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, where he gained valuable insight into federal practice and complex case management. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2008 and to the New Mexico Bar in 2012, and he is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.

Over the course of his career, Richard has achieved notable results for his clients, including a $700,000 jury verdict in a commercial real estate investment dispute, a $99,980 wrongful civil forfeiture recovery, and several six-figure settlements in oil and gas cases. His appellate successes include defending investment professionals and securing victories in real property and lending disputes.

Richard Biggs is active in the Amarillo legal community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association and the Greenways HOA. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and a graduate of Leadership Amarillo & Canyon. His work continues to strengthen Texas businesses, property owners, and individuals seeking justice in complex legal matters.
