Richard A. Pacia

Richard A. Pacia, Esq., is a seasoned trial attorney with decades of experience representing clients in Rhode Island courts. His practice focuses on personal injury, civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, real estate matters, and business disputes. Throughout his career, he has represented thousands of clients and secured favorable verdicts, judgments, and settlements. Known for his courtroom advocacy and strategic negotiation skills, he works diligently to protect clients’ rights and pursue successful outcomes in complex legal matters.

Richard earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. He received his J.D. from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America. He also earned both his B.S., magna cum laude, and his M.S. in Journalism from Boston University College of Communication. His diverse educational background strengthened his analytical, communication, and legal reasoning skills, providing a strong foundation for his career in litigation and legal advocacy.

Over the course of his legal career, Richard has served as lead counsel in thousands of jury trials, bench trials, mediations, arbitrations, and settlements. He has appeared before numerous courts, including the Rhode Island Supreme Court, Superior Court, District Court, Family Court, Workers’ Compensation Court, and federal courts. His legal work has also involved appeals before higher courts and complex litigation matters requiring careful preparation and strategic advocacy.

Richard A. Pacia has also played an active role in the legal community through leadership and professional service. He served as President of the Rhode Island Bar Association and held several leadership positions within the organization. In recognition of his work, he has received the Rhode Island Bar Association Pro Bono Publico Award and other honors for his service to the community. He continues to contribute to legal education and public service while maintaining an active legal practice.
