About

Reginald W. Belcher focuses on labor and employment matters for management, helping employers address disputes before they grow into larger problems. His practice includes discrimination, harassment, retaliation, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, and other restrictive covenant issues. He also handles traditional labor relations, including union matters, bargaining issues, and workplace disputes.

Reggie earned a B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 1992, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He later earned a Master’s of Human Resources from the University of South Carolina in 1996 and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1996, where he was a member of Order of Wig and Robe.

Reggie is certified as a Specialist in Employment and Labor Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. He represents employers in state and federal courts and before agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, SCHAC, LLR, NLRB, and OFCCP, giving clients steady guidance across a wide range of workplace claims.

Reggie also advises employers on compliance, internal investigations, crisis response, and strategic HR concerns. He works to reduce legal exposure by conducting HR audits, training supervisors and managers, and helping businesses build sound workplace policies. His background in human resources adds practical value to the legal advice he provides.

Reggie is also a certified mediator and certified arbitrator who has resolved many employment and business disputes through alternative dispute methods. In addition, he leads work involving disciplinary matters before licensing boards, defending professionals who appear before boards regulated by the LLR in a range of regulated occupations.

Reggie has earned recognition for his work in labor and employment and commercial litigation, including selection to Best Lawyers in America for Litigation: Labor & Employment from 2018-2026, Law Dragon Top Employment Lawyer from 2012-2024, and Chambers & Partners, USA for Litigation: General Commercial in 2024.

Reginald W. Belcher is known for combining legal knowledge with real-world HR understanding to help employers solve problems and protect their operations. His work supports better workplace practices, stronger management decisions, and more effective responses to claims, investigations, and regulatory challenges, helping clients move forward with greater confidence.
