About
Rebecca Swaintek-Green, Esq., is a Senior Associate at the Law Office of Raymond O. Griffith, where she focuses on complex immigration litigation and humanitarian relief. A bilingual attorney fluent in English and Spanish, Rebecca brings a client-centered approach to every case. She has successfully handled asylum, withholding of removal, Convention Against Torture (CAT) claims, Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) petitions, cancellation of removal, waivers, and visa appeals. Her legal insight and litigation experience are grounded in years of service at both the trial and appellate levels.
Rebecca earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2020. She served as Executive Notes Editor of the Drexel Law Review and authored a published article on protecting mentally ill migrants in ICE custody. She founded the Immigration Law Society and created the Border Rights Project, which mobilized student-led pro bono services at the U.S.–Mexico border. She also received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Student. While in law school, she interned with the Federal Litigation and Appeals Clinic, worked at two immigration law firms, and clerked at the York Immigration Court under the DOJ Summer Legal Intern Program.
Following law school, Rebecca Swaintek-Green was accepted into the prestigious DOJ Honors Program and served as an Attorney Advisor at the York and Baltimore Immigration Courts. She later joined the Office of Chief Counsel at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, where she worked on Form I-130 visa petition appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Her government service gave her valuable behind-the-scenes insight into agency and court procedures.
Rebecca is admitted to practice in Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She brings strategic depth and federal experience to the firm’s litigation team, advocating with precision, clarity, and compassion in every matter she handles.
