About
Rebecca Holdiman-Miller is an attorney with Holmes Weddle & Barcott in Anchorage who practices commercial litigation, workers’ compensation defense, and general civil litigation. She represents clients in contested matters and has experience addressing disputes involving employers, insurers, and businesses. Rebecca’s practice combines courtroom work with practical case management, helping clients evaluate claims, prepare defenses, and respond to litigation demands in Alaska state and federal court settings.
Rebecca earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science from Northwest Missouri State University in 2000. During law school, she worked for Iowa Legal Aid, and before law school she completed an externship involving child abuse and neglect matters in Washington, D.C. Her education and early legal work provided a foundation in research, advocacy, client service, and public-interest legal issues.
Rebecca worked for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa after law school before relocating to Alaska in 2005. She then joined Holmes Weddle & Barcott and developed a practice focused on workers’ compensation defense, commercial litigation, and related civil matters. Her litigation background helps her analyze claims, organize evidence, address procedural issues, and represent clients through the stages of disputes that require careful factual development and knowledge of Alaska law.
Rebecca Holdiman-Miller has also contributed to Alaska’s workers’ compensation system through service connected with selecting physicians for the Workers’ Compensation Board’s physician list. She is admitted to practice in Alaska state courts and the United States District Court for the District of Alaska. Rebecca brings long-term Alaska litigation experience to matters involving workers’ compensation and commercial disputes, with an emphasis on structured preparation, practical advice, and effective defense of client interests.
