About
Raymond H. Lemisch is a partner at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP whose practice covers bankruptcy and restructuring, litigation, and general business matters. With more than thirty years of experience, he advises financially healthy and distressed businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and parties involved in insolvency proceedings. His work includes out-of-court restructurings, contractual negotiations, business transactions, and disputes arising when companies face financial pressure or changing ownership needs.
Ray earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar and served on the First Year Moot Court Board. He earned a B.A. from Haverford College. He is admitted in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, along with several federal courts. His education and broad admissions support a multi-jurisdictional restructuring and business litigation practice.
Ray represents unsecured creditors’ committees, equity security holders’ committees, Chapter 11 debtors, landlords, Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 trustees, post-confirmation trustees, and buyers of assets. He also represents buyers and sellers of businesses and companies seeking equity or debt financing. His practice therefore combines insolvency proceedings with transactional work, helping clients evaluate restructuring options, negotiate agreements, and complete transactions during periods of financial uncertainty.
Raymond H. Lemisch is active in bankruptcy and business law organizations and has held leadership roles in the Philadelphia Bar Association. He has been listed in Best Lawyers for bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation for many years and has received an AV Preeminent rating.
