Randall D. Armentrout is a veteran attorney with more than 25 years of experience representing employers in labor, employment, and litigation matters. He regularly handles cases involving workplace discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and hostile work environment claims. Known for his creativity and ability to think outside the box, Mr. Armentrout develops innovative legal strategies to protect his clients while ensuring that their business objectives and long-term goals remain a central focus.
Mr. Armentrout earned his J.D., with honors, from Drake University Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the Drake Law Review. He received his B.S. from the University of Iowa. Following law school, he clerked for Justice James H. Carter of the Iowa Supreme Court and Judge George G. Fagg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, gaining valuable insight into appellate advocacy and judicial decision-making.
Mr. Armentrout’s practice includes employment counseling, litigation defense, and trade secret protection. He advises employers on compliance and risk avoidance, represents companies in administrative hearings and arbitrations, and has handled numerous appeals in state and federal courts. He has also argued cases that helped shape the interpretation of the Uniform Commercial Code. Randall D. Armentrout is admitted to practice in all Iowa state and federal courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
