Rachel Young Fields is a partner with HunterMaclean and brings broad experience representing businesses, fiduciaries, and organizations in complex disputes and transactions. Her practice spans intellectual property, business litigation, corporate governance, real estate, and fiduciary matters, allowing her to guide clients through multifaceted legal issues with precision and strategic insight.
Rachel earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served on the Georgia Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theatre from Winthrop University, graduating cum laude.
Rachel’s intellectual property practice includes trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio management, as well as strategic counseling on brand development and protection. She also advises clients on copyright ownership, registration, validity, and infringement, and regularly drafts and negotiates trademark and copyright licenses and agreements.
In addition to intellectual property work, Rachel represents clients in business disputes involving contracts, fiduciary duties, trusts and estates, real estate, condominiums, and community associations. She frequently counsels nonprofits and corporations on governance issues and represents fiduciaries in litigation involving estates, trusts, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Rachel is actively involved in professional leadership within the State Bar of Georgia, currently serving as Communications Chair of the Intellectual Property Section. Her prior service includes leadership roles within the Young Lawyers Division and teaching as an adjunct professor at Savannah Law School.
Rachel Young Fields is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, multiple federal district courts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
