Rachel A. Doxsie

Rachel A. Doxsie concentrates her practice in Business Law and Estate Planning, with a focus on serving business owners. She advises clients on complex planning strategies that support growth, continuity, and protection, while delivering practical legal guidance tailored to evolving business and estate planning needs across Michigan markets.

Rachel earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law in 2003. She previously completed a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University in 2000, with a concentration in political science and pre-law studies, providing a strong academic foundation for legal practice and analysis.

Before forming her own firm, Rachel was a partner at Shea, Aiello & Doxsie, PLLC. In that role, she led business client development throughout the firm’s Michigan offices and met with individuals and business owners regarding estate planning and business planning matters, requiring careful coordination and strategic guidance.

After law school, Rachel gained judicial experience by serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas S. Eveland, Chief Judge of the Fifty-Sixth Circuit Court of Michigan, Eaton County, and for the Honorable John R. Weber, Chief Judge of the Twenty-Fifth Circuit Court, Marquette County, respectively thereafter.

Rachel has received professional recognition for her work, including selection as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2010 through 2015. She was also named one of Michigan’s Top Women Attorneys in 2014 and 2015 for her accomplishments in legal practice, reflecting consistent peer recognition and sustained professional excellence.

Rachel A. Doxsie is active in professional education as a frequent seminar presenter on estate, tax, and succession planning topics. She holds a Probate and Estate Planning Certificate and maintains membership in relevant State Bar sections.
