Kimberly H. Whitley is the Managing Partner at Patrick, Harper & Dixon, LLP, where she concentrates her practice on business and corporate law, estate planning and administration, and elder and special needs law. She advises individuals, families, and business owners on planning, compliance, and long-term legal strategies. Her work includes guiding clients through complex transactions, protecting assets, and addressing the legal needs that arise with aging and special care planning.

Ms. Whitley earned her B.A. with Honors and Distinction and her J.D. with High Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a John M. Morehead Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During law school, she served on the North Carolina Law Review and was a Notes and Comments Editor. She is also a member of the Order of the Coif.

Ms. Whitley is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. Her legal career includes advising clients on business formation, governance, and succession, as well as wills, trusts, probate, and elder law matters. She helps families plan for incapacity, special needs, and long-term care while ensuring legal compliance. Her approach emphasizes clarity, risk management, and solutions tailored to each client’s goals.

In addition to her practice, Kimberly H. Whitley serves in leadership roles within the legal community. She has been appointed to the Specialization Board for Estate Planning and Probate Law for the North Carolina State Bar and to the Elder Law Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association.
