Rachael Neff

Rachael Neff is an associate attorney in Waterloo, Iowa, who represents clients in personal injury litigation, workers’ compensation, and family law. Her family law practice includes divorce and child custody matters. She helps injured individuals pursue compensation, assists employees with workplace injury claims, and guides families through difficult legal transitions. Rachael earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Iowa in 2014 and graduated with high honors from Drake University Law School in 2018. During law school, she competed on the AAJ Mock Trial and Arbitration teams, and her arbitration team won a national championship in 2018. She also served on the Drake Law Review, worked as a student-lawyer in the Civil Litigation Clinic, and completed an externship with Iowa Supreme Court Justice Daryl Hecht.

After admission to the Iowa bar in 2018, Rachael spent five years practicing workers’ compensation, insurance defense litigation, and family law in Cedar Rapids. She received collaborative law training in 2019, adding another practical approach to resolving family disputes. Rachael has also presented on employment law for the National Business Institute and on workers’ compensation topics at seminars organized by Iowa professional and advisory groups. She is admitted to practice before the Northern District of Iowa federal court.

Rachael Neff was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for her demonstrated ability in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and legal writing. She also received the Rodney L. Hudson Senior Advocacy Award for outstanding performance in moot court competitions. As a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and Linn County Bar Association, she brings strong advocacy skills, varied litigation experience, and careful judgment to clients facing injury claims, workplace disputes, and family law concerns.
