R. Rex Parris

R. Rex Parris is the founder and managing attorney of PARRIS Law Firm, a nationally acclaimed trial lawyer, and the mayor of Lancaster, California. Over his distinguished career, he has earned recognition for his record-setting verdicts and unwavering dedication to justice. Among his many achievements is the largest U.S. verdict of 2009—a $370 million defamation award—solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s most formidable litigators.

Mr. Parris earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern School of Law in 1980 and his Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1977. A lifelong scholar of advocacy, he was named a Master Advocate by The National Institute for Trial Advocacy in 1991. His academic and professional background continues to guide his methodical and evidence-driven approach to litigation.
