Priya Chaudhry

Priya Chaudhry is a criminal defense attorney. She is nationally known for her strong trial skills and strategic defense. She got her undergraduate degree with High Honors from UC Berkeley. Then, at 23, she earned her J.D. at Northwestern University School of Law. Admitted to practice in New York and its federal courts, she is well-positioned to defend clients in some of the toughest legal arenas.

In 25 years, Chaudhry has handled nearly 50 jury trials. He represented clients in complex white-collar cases, homicides, and other serious crimes. Many prestigious groups recognize her. They include Chambers and Partners and the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. She has been honored by Super Lawyers, National Trial Lawyers, and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. The Hollywood Reporter named her among “Hollywood’s Troubleshooters.” It highlights her skill in discreetly solving high-profile, complex cases.

Chaudhry has a strong record in litigation. She also represents clients facing regulatory scrutiny, including actions by FINRA and the SEC. She has defended individuals accused of Title IX violations. She often secured acquittals after trial. Chaudhry is known for his prep and innovative defenses. He prioritizes clients’ rights at every stage of the legal process.

Beyond her extensive trial experience, Chaudhry is also a dedicated legal educator. For nearly twenty years, she has taught Trial Advocacy at Cardozo Law School, Rutgers Law School, and through the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, helping train the next generation of courtroom advocates.

She has also been an adjunct faculty member at Columbia and Fordham Law Schools. There, she shared her knowledge with future attorneys. Chaudhry’s published works include chapters in two 2023 books. They are “White Collar Crime: Business and Regulatory Offenses” and “Defending Federal Criminal Cases.”” They show her commitment to improving criminal defense.
