Phillip B. Price, Sr., is a leading DUI defense attorney and partner at Crumbley-Blackwell & Associates, P.C. With over forty years of legal experience, he has represented more individuals charged with DUI in North Alabama than any other lawyer. As the only Board-Certified DUI Specialist in the region, Mr. Price is widely recognized for his success rate and deep knowledge of DUI defense. His work has earned him national respect and made him a trusted advocate for those facing serious legal challenges related to driving offenses.
Mr. Price earned a B.A. from the University of Alabama and a J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law. He began his legal career working alongside Macon L. Weaver, the former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama. His education and early experience laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to criminal defense, particularly DUI law. He has since used this foundation to train both attorneys and law enforcement professionals across the country.
As a Founding Fellow and former Dean of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), Mr. Price has played a central role in shaping national standards in DUI defense. He was only the third attorney in the U.S. to earn the NCDD Fellowship and is one of just eight recipients of the prestigious Erwin-Taylor Award. He has delivered lectures in more than 25 states and authored the Alabama DUI Handbook, widely used by both attorneys and judges. His deep understanding of breath test devices has helped many clients avoid unjust penalties.
Phillip B. Price, Sr.’s work has led to key legal decisions, including a landmark case in which the Alabama Supreme Court threw out the state’s breath test program.
