Philip Remington Dunn

Philip Remington Dunn, Esq., is a Southern California criminal defense attorney with offices in Westlake Village and Ventura. He represents clients in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in criminal matters involving DUI, drug charges, domestic violence, white collar fraud, assault and battery, weapons violations, and serious felonies. His practice focuses on protecting clients’ rights, answering urgent legal questions, and providing clear guidance when individuals are facing arrest or investigation.

Dunn earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1983. He received a B.A. with honors from California Polytechnic State University in 1980. His education provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, courtroom advocacy, and practical problem-solving. This training supports his ability to evaluate criminal charges, challenge evidence, and advise clients on the risks and options that can shape a defense strategy.

Dunn has practiced criminal defense in Southern California for more than 40 years and previously served as a Ventura County Deputy Public Defender from 1984 to 1987. His experience includes serious felony cases, three strikes matters, DUI, narcotics allegations, domestic violence, fraud, and weapons charges. He has also been connected to high-profile matters involving post-conviction relief, dismissed charges, and advocacy for a U.S. Marine veteran detained in Mexico.
