About
Phil Weinberg is a criminal defense attorney who has spent decades protecting people facing serious charges in Washington State. His work centers on defending individuals against the full force of government prosecution, with careful attention to rights, evidence, and long-term consequences. Clients rely on his steady guidance during stressful and uncertain moments.
Phil began his academic path at Lake Forest College in 1972, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He majored in Chemistry and International Relations, achieved Dean’s List recognition, and was nominated to Pi Sigma Alpha. He later earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1982.
Phil has practiced law in the Seattle–Everett–Tacoma area since 1986, bringing over 26 years of focused experience in criminal defense and DUI defense. His career reflects deep courtroom knowledge, long-term commitment to defense work, and consistent advocacy for people accused of crimes across Western Washington.
Phil concentrates much of his practice on Assault and Domestic Violence cases, including related no-contact and protection order violations. He also defends DUI, reckless and negligent driving, license suspension matters, theft, fraud, and drug charges. His approach emphasizes detailed case review, strategic presentation, and individualized defense planning.
Phil is known for a holistic method that considers each client’s history, goals, and circumstances. He closely examines police reports, testing methods, and procedural steps to identify weaknesses in the prosecution’s case. This preparation allows him to advocate effectively in court and during negotiations with prosecutors.
Phil is a member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association. He has also been affiliated with professional organizations including the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
