Peter completed his undergraduate degree in finance from Syracuse University in 1980 before earning his Juris Doctorate from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1983. He became licensed to practice in Texas in 1984 and in New York State in 1985, and he is admitted to the United States District Court Northern District of New York.

Peter has spent more than 15 years representing people filing for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
