Peter A. Kuperstein has over 25 years of experience handling all aspects of family law. His cases range from simple uncontested actions to highly contested matters involving business valuations, complex financial issues, custody disputes, paternity actions, and appeals. Peter also focuses on prenuptial agreements, modifications, and contempt actions in family law courts.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in 1992. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law School, graduating cum laude in 1997. His strong academic background laid the foundation for his outstanding legal career in family law, including mediation, appellate work, and serving as a trusted court-appointed advisor.
Throughout his career, Peter has developed extensive appellate experience, authoring over 35 appellate briefs and a writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States. His work covers important family law issues such as alimony, child support, property division, parent coordinators, jurisdiction, custody, and prenuptial agreements, shaping the practice through notable legal cases.
Peter has earned recognition from U.S. News and World Report as a “Best Lawyer in America” in the areas of Family Law, Family Law Mediation, and Appellate Practice every year since 2021. His excellence in family law has also led to repeated selections as a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine, along with earlier honors as a “Rising Star” in 2007, 2008, and 2010.
