Paul E. Bucher

Paul earned his J.D. from Marquette University School of Law in 1981. He also completed a B.S. in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1977, graduating with honors and earning Dean’s List recognition. During his legal studies, he attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where he ranked near the top of his class and was named to the Dean’s List.

Paul began his public service career as a legislative aide and later served as legal counsel in the Wisconsin State Senate. In 1983, he joined the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. He was appointed District Attorney in 1988 and served nearly twenty years, leading major prosecutions across the state. He litigated complex homicide, drug, and drunk driving cases, and worked closely with law enforcement and community groups to improve public safety.

Paul practices criminal defense, personal injury, civil litigation, and government law today. He represents clients facing charges such as felony offenses, domestic violence, white collar crimes, sex crimes, and traffic violations.
