Paul D. Murphy

Paul D. Murphy is a founding member and partner at Murphy Rosen LLP, where he focuses on complex business and entertainment litigation. Paul earned his J.D. from the USC Law School in 1991 and his B.A. from the UC Santa Barbara in 1988. After law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable William J. Rea of the US District Court for the Central District of California. He later worked as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell before becoming a partner at O’Neill, Lysaght & Sun, where he practiced from 1995 through 2003.

Paul has achieved significant results in high-stakes litigation. He secured a unanimous defense verdict in a federal False Claims Act case involving allegations of a $33 million importation scheme. He obtained summary judgment for medical providers in a $110 million federal RICO case and full summary judgment for a commercial refrigerator manufacturer in a $30 million product defect dispute.
