Patty Arjun

Patty Arjun is an owner and founding partner of DBMA Family Law Group in Portland. She has practiced family law since 2004 and has guided hundreds of individuals through family law matters in Oregon and Washington. Her practice includes divorce, child custody, parenting time, spousal support, child support, modifications, agreements, collaborative law, mediation, and litigation, with an emphasis on informed and efficient decision-making.

Arjun earned a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2004 and a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of San Francisco in 1998. She began collaborative-law training in 2009 and has continued advanced training in that process. She became certified as a mediator in 2019. This education supports her ability to offer clients multiple approaches to resolving family-law disputes.

Arjun uses mediation and collaborative law to provide private, respectful, transparent, and non-combative options for families moving through major transitions. She also maintains a substantial litigation practice for matters that require court involvement. Her work includes contested and uncontested divorce, child-related disputes, support, enforcement, domestic partnership dissolution, premarital and postnuptial agreements, process consultations, and mediation support.

Patty Arjun serves on the board of the Oregon Association for Collaborative Professionals and has received Oregon Super Lawyers recognition. She is also involved with family-law and collaborative-practice organizations, including the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section and Multnomah Bar Association. Her combination of mediation, collaborative practice, and litigation experience helps clients choose a process suited to their goals while navigating difficult family transitions.
