Patrik Neustrom

Patrik Neustrom has practiced law since 1976 and built a long career representing people harmed by accidents and negligence. His work centers on civil litigation and injury cases, helping individuals seek compensation after serious events. Over decades of practice, he has handled complex claims involving personal injury, insurance disputes, and vehicle accidents.

Patrik earned his B.A., with Honors, from the University of Kansas, where he served as Senior Class President and was active in Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. He later received his J.D. from Washburn University Law School, serving on the Washburn Law Journal Board of Editors and joining Phi Delta Phi Scholastic Fraternity.

Patrik began his legal career at Gilliand Hayes and Goering in Hutchinson, where he worked in insurance defense and general practice for nearly two years. After gaining early litigation experience, he returned to Salina in October 1978 and started a general practice focused on helping individuals with civil legal matters.

Patrik later formed a partnership with Connie Achterberg that lasted for 28 years. During that time, he handled civil litigation, personal injury claims, and workers’ compensation matters while also serving as Saline County Counselor from 1989 to 1994. His practice regularly addressed automobile collisions, truck accidents, and serious injury cases.

Patrik’s work increasingly focused on injury litigation, particularly cases involving traumatic brain injury. For more than two decades, he handled several complex brain injury matters each year while also working on automobile and truck crash litigation. He has also lectured on traumatic brain injury, damages, and small-town legal practice.

Patrik has remained active in professional organizations, including the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, where he served as President from 2014 to 2015 and spent many years on the Board of Governors. His involvement also includes leadership roles in the Kansas Bar Association Litigation Section and participation in national injury litigation groups.

Patrik Neustrom has received recognition, including AV-rated Martindale and Hubbell, Super Lawyers 2006, Top 100 Attorneys National Trial Lawyers Association, AVVO Superb 10.0 rating, Who’s Who in American Law, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His decades of courtroom experience continue to focus on advocating for individuals facing serious injuries and legal challenges.
