Patrick J. Geile is a seasoned attorney with a wide-ranging litigation practice, concentrating on bankruptcy and commercial law. He focuses primarily on business and agricultural reorganizations, helping clients confirm reorganization plans across Idaho and Oregon. With deep experience in individual and corporate financial matters, Patrick provides strong legal guidance to those facing financial challenges, offering clear strategies and trusted counsel.
Patrick earned his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Puget Sound in 2000. He then received his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2004, where he was honored by his peers with the “Spirit of the Class” award.
Patrick began his legal career with Foley Freeman, PLLC, in 2006 and became a partner in 2009. His early experience includes externships with U.S. Bankruptcy Judges Jim Pappas and Terry Myers in the District of Idaho, which laid the foundation for his work in complex bankruptcy matters. Today, he is recognized for his success in confirming reorganization plans and managing financial restructures for individuals and businesses.
In addition to his legal work, Patrick is active in the professional community. He currently serves as the Idaho State Bar’s Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section chair. He has also presented regularly at continuing legal education (CLE) programs, sharing his knowledge with attorneys nationwide. Patrick is a graduate of the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers and was honored in 2016 as one of Idaho Business Review’s “Accomplished 40 Under 40.”
