Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii in 1984 and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the College of William & Mary in 1989. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1994, earning a Certificate in Business Law and serving on the Oregon Law Review.
Patrick’s legal work spans all major technologies, with specialization in software, hardware, medical devices, and mechanical innovations.
