With more than three decades of legal experience, he has built a distinguished reputation for his compassionate guidance and exceptional results in areas such as Medicaid planning, guardianship, probate, and long-term care law. James earned his B.B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of North Dakota before completing his J.D. at Baylor University School of Law. During law school, he was recognized for academic excellence with the Hulen D. Wendorf Evidence Award and the Loy Simpkins Marital Property Award. His strong educational background laid the foundation for a career devoted to serving older adults and families with integrity and care.

James is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA)—a prestigious credential awarded by the National Elder Law Foundation, accredited by the American Bar Association. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Baylor University School of Law, teaching elder law to future attorneys.
