Carlos H. Ochoa is an experienced family law attorney serving the McAllen community for more than 25 years. Known for his commitment to protecting client rights, he handles complex family law matters, including divorce, mediation, child custody, and estate planning. In addition, he provides legal guidance for wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, helping individuals and families plan for their future with clarity and peace of mind.
Carlos earned his B.B.A. in Finance from St. Edward’s University and his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served as president of the Spanish American Law Students Association. Since earning his law degree in 1991, he has built a successful practice rooted in professionalism, compassion, and a deep understanding of Texas family law.
Before establishing his practice, Carlos gained valuable experience representing plaintiffs, assisting elders, and working in insurance defense. Over the course of his career, he has earned recognition for his leadership and excellence, including being named a Texas Rising Super Lawyer and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. As a certified mediator, he also assists clients in resolving disputes amicably, ensuring that outcomes serve the best interests of all parties involved.
