Nicole C. Hancock

Nicole C. Hancock is a partner based in Boise and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She is a trial attorney who handles complex business litigation in state and federal courts, focusing on practical strategies that align with her clients’ business goals and long-term success.

Nicole earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law in 2002, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Willamette Law Review. She holds a B.S. in American Sign Language-English Interpretation from Western Oregon University (1998) and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford University.

Nicole focuses her practice on commercial and corporate disputes, including contract claims, fiduciary duty matters, non-compete disputes, product liability, and trade secret enforcement. She has first-chaired trials in federal and state courts, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings, handling matters that range from high-stakes litigation to business-critical disputes.

Nicole also serves as outside general counsel for mid-sized companies, advising on corporate risk management and business strategy. Her prior experience as in-house counsel for a global seed company allows her to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions that help clients reduce risk and achieve efficient outcomes.

Nicole works extensively with agribusiness clients, including processing, manufacturing, and agriculture companies, as well as beer and wine businesses. She advises on regulatory compliance, including matters involving FSMA, PVP, PACA, federal seed laws, and chemical application and drift claims affecting agricultural operations.
