Adam B. Emerson is an attorney with Bridgforth, Buntin & Emerson, PLLC, where he has practiced since November 2008. Adam earned a B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 2002, graduating Cum Laude. He then received his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2006, also Cum Laude. While in law school, he served on the Moot Court Board and built strong advocacy skills.

After law school, Adam practiced for two years at a large firm in Jackson, Mississippi. He then returned home to DeSoto County to serve his community. His early career included key public roles that shaped his experience in both prosecution and defense work across several courts.

Adam has served as Youth Court Prosecutor, Youth Court Public Defender, Circuit Court Public Defender, and prosecuting attorney for the City of Horn Lake. He now serves as Municipal Judge for the City of Hernando and as Special Master in Chancery Court, handling important judicial responsibilities.

Adam’s practice includes business formation, commercial litigation, Wills, estate planning and probate, land disputes, annexation, eminent domain, and criminal defense for misdemeanor and felony cases. He also handles general civil litigation, personal injury, and matters involving local and state government law.

Adam is admitted to practice in Mississippi and Tennessee, as well as in several federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. He is a member of The Mississippi Bar and other legal associations.

Adam B. Emerson remains active in the legal community through groups such as the DeSoto County Bar and the Tennessee Bar Association. He served as President of the Northwest Mississippi Young Lawyers’ Association from 2013-2014, showing leadership and commitment to the profession.
