Nick Volk concentrates his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning. He has significant experience guiding individuals and families through complex wealth transfer matters. His background includes serving as Fiduciary Officer and In-House Counsel for First Kentucky Trust Company and practicing law with a focus on long-term financial planning strategies.
Nick earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville. He later completed a Master of Laws in Taxation from Southern Methodist University. His academic training from lower to higher degrees built a strong foundation in tax-focused estate and trust planning matters.
Nick has held several leadership roles within respected legal organizations. He serves as the treasurer of the Owensboro Estate Planning Council. He is also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association Probate & Estate Planning Section’s Legislation Committee. In addition, he previously served as chairman of the Louisville Bar Association Probate & Estate Planning Section.
Through his work, Nick assists clients in preparing wills, trusts, and advanced estate plans designed to protect assets and reduce tax exposure. He helps families administer estates efficiently and in compliance with state law. His experience allows him to explain complex legal and tax issues in a clear and practical manner.
