About

Nick Lavery is a Clemson criminal defense lawyer who represents clients in criminal and civil matters throughout South Carolina. His practice focuses on criminal defense, including DUI, drug charges, alcohol-related charges, and other offenses. He also handles personal injury, automobile and motorcycle accidents, and workers’ compensation cases. Clients rely on his experience when they need practical guidance in matters that may affect their freedom, finances, and future.

Nick earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law after beginning his legal studies at Suffolk University School of Law. He also graduated from Furman University. His education gave him a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and problem solving. That training supports his ability to evaluate facts, prepare cases, and explain legal options in a clear and practical way.

Nick previously worked for the 13th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Greenville and Pickens Counties and the 10th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Anderson and Oconee Counties. As an Assistant Solicitor, he prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including murder, drug charges, and traffic offenses. This experience helps him understand how prosecutors review evidence, build cases, and approach courtroom strategy.

Nick Lavery brings a practical and informed approach to criminal defense and civil representation. He has lived and worked in Clemson for many years, giving him strong familiarity with the local legal community and the needs of South Carolina clients. His background as a former prosecutor helps him assess risks, identify issues, and guide clients through difficult legal situations with steady judgment and focused advocacy.
