Siobhan Briley

Siobhan Briley is a trial, commercial, and business litigation lawyer at Ellis & Winters LLP in Raleigh, North Carolina. Briley represents clients in complex disputes involving fiduciary and estate litigation, bankruptcy litigation, criminal defense, and appellate matters. Her practice draws on broad litigation experience in North Carolina, Iowa, New York, and Washington, D.C. Briley earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006, graduating magna cum laude and earning Order of the Coif honors. She also served as articles editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She received her M.F.A. and B.A. from the University of Oregon, graduating summa cum laude as an undergraduate. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Mary M. Schroeder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Before joining Ellis & Winters, she was a partner at Pugh Hagan Prahm PLC in Iowa, where she managed a diverse litigation caseload. She previously practiced with firms in New York and Washington, D.C., and has experience in commercial arbitration and mediation. Her background supports her ability to evaluate evidence, manage complex disputes, and guide clients through trial and appellate proceedings.

Siobhan Briley is active in national and state legal organizations. She serves as co-chair of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association Litigation Section and is a member of the DRI Litigation Skills Steering Committee. She is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Litigation Counsel of America.
