Mr. Phillips began his career as a judicial law clerk for Frederic Block in the Eastern District of New York. He served as an Immigrant Justice Corps fellow at Pace Law Practice and worked as an attorney with Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York. Through these roles, he represented immigrants in detention, advised clients on options, and supported people facing removal proceedings. He writes the “Immigration Matters” column for Pro Se magazine about immigration issues affecting communities and families. Statewide.

He is admitted before immigration courts, district courts in New York, the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
