About

Nathan J. Stallings founded Stallings Law, PLLC, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, in 2018. His individual practice focuses on federal criminal law, state criminal defense, and traffic matters. He represents people facing charges in Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania counties, as well as federal proceedings when appropriate. Stallings draws on earlier experience as a prosecutor to assess criminal allegations, examine the legal process, and prepare defense strategies for clients.

Stallings earned a bachelor’s degree from Radford University in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law in 2006. He began work as an assistant district attorney in North Carolina in 2007. In 2013, he was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. His academic and courtroom training laid the groundwork for handling misdemeanor charges, felony proceedings, and federal criminal matters.

As an assistant district attorney in District 29B, Stallings handled misdemeanor prosecutions and driving while impaired cases before moving to Superior Court felony trials. After approximately six years in the prosecutor’s office, he entered private defense practice and ultimately formed his own law firm. His prosecution background gives him experience with charging decisions, evidence, case preparation, and trial procedure. His present criminal and traffic work addresses clients at different stages of court proceedings.

Nathan J. Stallings serves clients through a Hendersonville office that also provides criminal, custody, domestic, and DMV-related services. His criminal defense practice is rooted in first-hand knowledge of local prosecution and court processes. By examining the circumstances of each charge and communicating available legal options, he helps clients approach court appearances, negotiations, and trials with a clearer understanding of the decisions and potential consequences involved.
