About

Whitney Staton founded Staton Law Firm in Hendersonville, North Carolina, where she provides real estate legal services. Her practice is based in the community where she grew up and returned after completing her legal education. Staton’s work focuses on property-related legal needs, including services connected to residential real estate transactions. Her professional background also includes exposure to criminal justice and family-related matters during law school and earlier legal placements.

Staton received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2008, with a minor in American Studies. She later attended Charlotte School of Law, where she was named to the Dean’s List and graduated in December 2010. She passed the February 2011 North Carolina bar examination and was sworn in as an attorney in Henderson County on April 18, 2011.

Before opening her practice, Staton worked with a criminal defense firm and completed a placement with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office felony drug team. At Charlotte School of Law, she also participated in a parental representation clinic assisting parents in termination-of-parental-rights matters and the Beazer Restitution Fund Clinic. Her undergraduate experience included an internship involving mediation and teen court. These placements provided familiarity with legal counseling, courts, and client needs.

Whitney Staton has supported community service initiatives including Wills for Heroes, which provides legal documents to first responders, and volunteer efforts in the Charlotte area. She has participated in professional associations for North Carolina attorneys and women lawyers. Her path from legal training to independent practice in Hendersonville reflects a local focus, combining an understanding of the surrounding community with experience in legal procedures and a commitment to accessible real estate services.
