Nathan I. North earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Law Journal. He also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from The University of Tennessee.

Before joining Patterson Intellectual Property Law, P.C., Nathan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond Chen on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. He now applies that high-level appellate experience to every client matter—whether arguing before the Federal Circuit or litigating complex IP infringement disputes. Known for combining deep technical knowledge with strong advocacy skills, Nathan delivers clear, practical solutions for clients facing sophisticated intellectual property challenges.

In addition to his client work, Nathan I.
