About

Natalie S. Hiu is an experienced attorney concentrating her practice on real estate, business, and commercial transactions. She advises clients on property acquisitions, sales, due diligence, leasing issues, development projects, land registration, and licensing matters. Her real estate work includes preparing subdivision documentation for both resort and residential developments and handling complex commercial lease negotiations for ground leases and space leases. Natalie also represents clients in resolving residential leasing concerns.

Natalie earned her B.B.A. from the University of Hawai‘i in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Hawai‘i School of Law in 1992. With this academic foundation, she combines business acumen and legal training to offer clients a practical approach to both business operations and property matters. Her background provides her with the tools to address complex real estate and corporate issues with efficiency and clarity.

Beyond real estate, Natalie represents buyers and sellers in business acquisitions and sales, including asset purchase and sale agreements. She assists clients with business formation and maintenance, contract negotiations, and enforcement of agreements. Her work often bridges both commercial and legal considerations, helping clients secure long-term business stability and growth. She is also skilled in government relations, guiding clients in obtaining easements and navigating land use matters with state and county agencies.

Before returning to private practice, Natalie S. Hiu served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City and County of Honolulu, where she handled transactions and construction matters on behalf of the city. In that role, she advised the City Council, commissions, and administration on legal issues. This government experience, combined with her private practice background, enables Natalie to provide thorough, well-rounded counsel to businesses, property owners, and developers across Hawai‘i.
