Najmu Mohseen

Najmu Mohseen is a Dallas family law attorney and the managing attorney at Modern Family Law, handling divorce, custody, support, and related family matters. She brings experience from civil rights litigation, immigration removal defense, eviction matters, and advocacy involving prison conditions and religious accommodations. Najmu earned her B.A. in Psychology from Southwestern University, with a minor in Sociology. She received her J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, with a concentration in International Public Policy. During college, she interned with the Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division. Her education and early advocacy experience helped shape her interest in assisting people facing difficult legal circumstances and supporting clients who need effective representation.

Najmu began her legal career as an Equal Justice Works fellow, focusing on access to religious accommodations for prisoners and detainees. Her fellowship work contributed to changes in state and county prison policies and included individual accommodation advocacy. She later handled civil rights matters involving national security, the No Fly List process, prison conditions, and immigration removal defense. She draws on these experiences when representing families during challenging legal proceedings.
