About

Cammila Valerio is a California family law attorney and managing partner who represents clients in divorce and related family law matters. Her practice includes child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal support, property division, post-judgment matters, domestic violence restraining orders, and mediation. She combines litigation experience with a strong interest in helping clients resolve disputes through efficient, personalized settlements when appropriate, while keeping their goals and practical needs at the center of the process.

Valerio earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During law school, she interned for a family law judge, gaining direct experience with judges, court personnel, and the family court system. She also worked with the Family Law Facilitator’s Office, where she assisted self-represented litigants. These experiences helped build a practical foundation for her work with individuals facing sensitive and often complex family law issues.

Valerio began developing her interest in family law while in college, when she worked at a group home for teenagers in the foster care system and accompanied children to court while advocating for their needs. After law school, she entered private family law practice and developed experience in both litigation and negotiation. Her background allows her to guide clients through contested proceedings while also pursuing negotiated or mediated resolutions designed to reduce unnecessary conflict and expense.

Cammila Valerio has been selected to Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2019 through 2026, recognition for attorneys age 40 or younger who demonstrate strong peer recognition and professional achievement. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Judicial Appointments Evaluation Committee for the Alameda County Bar Association. Admitted to practice in California since 2017, Valerio brings courtroom knowledge, negotiation skills, and a settlement-focused approach to helping clients address important family law decisions.
