Monika A. Tashman

Monika A. Tashman is a partner and entertainment lawyer with more than 25 years of experience advising clients across music, media, technology, and related creative industries. Working from Nashville and New York, she represents entrepreneurial artists, executives, independent labels, publishers, trade groups, emerging companies, and entertainment businesses. Her work includes structuring and negotiating deals, providing day-to-day counsel, and helping clients align business opportunities with their values, risk profiles, and career objectives.

Monika earned a B.S., magna cum laude, from New York University before receiving her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. Her academic training supports a practice that combines legal analysis with business judgment and creative problem-solving. She is admitted to practice in New York and Tennessee, reinforcing her ability to counsel clients operating in major entertainment markets.

Her representative work includes negotiating collaborations for comedian and internet personality Drew “Druski” Desbordes with Don Julio and an appearance agreement with Fanatics. She has also advised Debbie Harry on a Wildfang collaboration and represented Taylor Momsen in connection with major appearances and performances.
