Mitchell E. Mccrea

Mitchell E. Mccrea is Special Counsel at Hennighausen Olsen & McCrea, L.L.P. in Roswell, New Mexico, with more than 20 years of personal injury litigation experience. He represents plaintiffs in complex matters involving negligence, gross negligence, malpractice, dangerous products, and unsafe workplaces. McCrea’s practice includes personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice, workplace incidents, airplane crashes, and serious motor vehicle cases, including claims arising from 18-wheeler collisions.

McCrea earned a B.S. with honors in History from Principia College in 1998 and an M.A. in History from the University of New Mexico in 2003. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003. His academic training in research, writing, and legal analysis supports the detailed factual development required in injury litigation. He was admitted in Texas in 2003 and New Mexico in 2018 and is also admitted in multiple federal courts and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

McCrea has spent his career handling claims in which serious injuries or deaths are alleged to have resulted from unsafe conduct or defective conditions. His work includes evaluating medical and technical evidence, developing liability theories, preparing cases for litigation, and presenting claims involving professional negligence, dangerous products, workplace incidents, aviation accidents, and large-truck crashes. That experience allows him to address both the legal and practical issues that arise when injuries create long-term personal, financial, or family consequences.

Mitchell E. Mccrea has been recognized for his trial work, including selection as a finalist for the American Association for Justice’s Trial Lawyer of the Year.
