Mitch earned his B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 1977 before receiving his J.D. from Nashville School of Law in 1981. His early career included roles as a Judicial Clerk for the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and as a Court Officer in both Davidson County Criminal Court and Davidson County Chancery Court, giving him a deep understanding of courtroom processes.
