Joel Fremstad

Joel Fremstad is a highly skilled attorney with decades of experience in business, real estate, and commercial litigation. He has built his practice on strong client relationships, understanding needs, and delivering practical results. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, business formation, contract disputes, collections, and personal injury, all with a focus on moving clients forward through effective legal solutions.

Joel earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Before that, he completed two undergraduate degrees at Jamestown College, one in History/Political Science and another in Business Administration. This strong academic foundation prepared him for complex legal matters, combining analytical thinking, communication skills, and business insight that continue to guide his successful representation today.

Joel began his career clerking for the North Dakota Supreme Court, later becoming a partner at one of the state’s largest law firms. He then served as General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources for a real estate and venture capital business. These roles gave him broad experience in employment law, business litigation, and corporate operations, which he now applies to guide clients through disputes, negotiations, and organizational challenges.

In addition to litigation, Joel Fremstad has helped clients with starting and acquiring businesses, handling real estate matters, and resolving partnership disputes. His practical knowledge as both an attorney and business leader allows him to understand client challenges firsthand.
