Mike Rainwater

Mike Rainwater is the founding attorney of Rainwater, Holt & Sexton, a firm built on client-first principles and a mission to serve injured individuals across Arkansas. With a legal career spanning over four decades, Mike has handled more than 6,000 cases and represented over 30,000 Arkansans, earning recognition as one of the state’s most respected personal injury lawyers.

Mike earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1979 while working full-time as a corporate planning analyst. Before law school, he received his B.S.B.A. from Louisiana Tech University in 1972, where he was named Outstanding Senior in the College of Business Administration. Licensed to practice in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee, Mike also holds admissions to multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mike began his legal journey as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Pulaski County before moving into private practice. He gained experience in commercial law and constitutional defense through decades of work with Arkansas’s city and county officials. In 1993, Mike pivoted toward plaintiff’s injury law, where he found his calling in representing victims of catastrophic injuries.

As co-founder of Rainwater, Holt & Sexton in 2006, Mike helped grow the firm from a small practice to a team of over 25 attorneys and 100 support staff. His leadership continues to guide the firm’s commitment to compassion, integrity, and results for injured clients.
