Michael T. Sanders

Michael T. Sanders is a DUI defense attorney at DUI Attorneys of Washington in Bothell, Washington. He represents clients facing DUI and impaired driving cases across King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Puget Sound communities. Mr. Sanders earned his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 1986, where he participated in Moot Court Council, served as Student Bar Secretary, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He received a B.S. in Political Science from the University of South Dakota in 1980, with minors in Business Administration and English. This training supports careful legal writing, trial preparation, and case analysis.

Mr. Sanders spent more than two decades in the Seattle Law Department’s Criminal Division, serving as a prosecuting attorney from 1991 to 2013. His work included filing, pretrial preparation, motions, briefs, and trials in cases involving DUI, drugs, assault, weapons violations, protection orders, and complex matters. He also worked as an assistant state’s attorney in South Dakota and as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court.
