Michael P. Coyle is the founding partner of The Coyle Law Group and brings experience from prominent national firms and public service. Michael earned a BA in Government from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He later graduated summa cum laude from The Washington College of Law at American University in 1994, where he was a member of The Law Review and completed his formal legal education with academic distinction.

Michael’s practice focuses on bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, general litigation, civil rights, and employment discrimination. He advises individuals and businesses, prepares filings, argues motions, and pursues fair outcomes while protecting client rights through efficient strategies and clear communication during demanding proceedings in state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Before forming his firm, Michael served as a law clerk to The Honorable Robert J. Yock. He later practiced at Howrey & Simon, Baker & Botts, and Galland Kharasch Greenberg Fellman & Swirsky, gaining experience with complex matters and senior-level responsibilities across a range of litigation teams nationwide.

Michael is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Court of Federal Claims, and has handled notable appellate cases before state and federal courts.
