Michael F. Lax is a founding shareholder of Lax, Vaughan, Fortson, Rowe & Threet, P.A., where he concentrates his legal practice on tax law, estate planning, probate, and commercial and corporate law. With more than four decades of experience, he provides strategic counsel to individuals, families, and business leaders throughout Arkansas.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1983, where he was a member of the Arkansas Law Review. He later completed his LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Florida in 1989 and holds a B.S.B.A. with honors from the University of Arkansas. He has also been a Certified Public Accountant since 1981 (inactive).
Michael advises high-net-worth individuals and families in estate planning and probate matters and frequently consults on tax controversies, trust disputes, and estate litigation.
