Michael Duran

Michael Duran is a partner in Singleton Schreiber’s Albuquerque office and a member of its Personal Injury practice group. He represents people in cases involving car and truck collisions, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death. With more than two decades of litigation experience, he handles injury claims in New Mexico state and federal courts and helps clients pursue accountability after serious harm.

Duran earned a JD from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2002, where he made the Dean’s List and received a Certificate in Basic Mediation. He earned a B.A. in Management and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 1998. His legal and mediation training supports his work evaluating claims, preparing cases for trial, and pursuing resolution when appropriate.

Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Duran spent more than 17 years as a managing litigation attorney at an Albuquerque plaintiff firm. He managed attorneys, litigated numerous New Mexico cases, and took more than a dozen matters to trial and verdict. Earlier insurance defense work included discovery, depositions, motions, and mediations, giving him experience with litigation from different positions.

Michael Duran serves on the board of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and belongs to national trial and trucking litigation organizations. His practice combines courtroom work with case management and preparation for complex injury disputes. He uses that experience to guide injured clients through the evidence, negotiations, and court proceedings that may be necessary to pursue compensation.
